I've had mine for just over 3 years. We have the same issue with the stains from the water drip rail. Ours came with a portable BOSS blue tooth stereo, which I like better. I added lift assists to the inside doors just so they would stay up. Mine came with an inverter and a power switch to disconnect battery. And a couple of hook up wires to connect to solar panels. Which I have 25 watt coleman solar panel I bought years ago that I probably should look at installing on the camper. I added my own TV and installed it in the same spot as you did. Outlets and external antenna are in the ceiling above that location, so it just made sense. Wife found a 6 inch thick mattress to use on top of their 4 inch one. I also added a small freezer and mounted it on the top bunk close to the table. Right now I have an extension cord that goes to a power strip at the fridge for power. I used command strip clips to have the wire go over the batch room door. Also Word of warning / caution to everyone. The in and out of the shade. is based on the words on the panel, not the direction that you what the shade to go. Ret means return to the camper, but the button is opposite side of the direction you would think the button needs to work in.

I’m 60 years old and just purchased a 2024 Coleman 17b. Im only 5’9” so I’m good. I got it V.I.P. discount from Camping World for about 12K. No outside lights or radio 📻 but I’m a Dj and have my monitor speakers and big screen TV monitor. I bought a new mattress and it’s all good!

These Coleman 17b are a cheaply built but budget friendly. They flex a lot when towing which leads to possible numerous problems. The worst being water penetration. If your real handy, your all set. Budget friendly but poor staple built quality. Caulking gun is your best friend.

A very very important thing on these trailers is to make absolutely 100% sure that you have absolutely zero, and I mean zero water intrusion into the trailer! These are stick and tin trailers and if water gets to the inside, you will definitely get water damage in short order! Figure out how to control the shower water spillage, and make sure no water is getting in around any of the windows, door and hatch openings and any where else you have an opening in the trailer. This method of building this trailer has been around basically since the late 1940s. Theses trailers will live and last for a very very long time if you keep them dry inside. And don’t be rough on the furniture inside. It will not stand up to rough use and abuse. Treat it with care and respect and it can hold up quite well. But the furniture will show wear and tear from normal use. It’s not made from heavy duty stuff. It’s made light duty in order to give you a easily towable trailer that weighs in at just under 3,000 pounds instead of a built like a tank trailer the same size that weighs in at 4700 pounds empty. If you want one of those, your going to half to pay a whole bunch more than you did for this one and use a higher rated tow vehicle to tow it. You can also buy lighter and better built trailers this size, but your also going to pay a whole bunch more for those as well. They sell a ton of these affordable trailers in this price range because they successfully bridge the weight/cost/acceptable quality gap.

Glad you brought up the water issue with the shower water coming out. I was wondering about that with rot and what not. Maybe build some kinda thing like a small wall with suction cups, plexiglass connected to it leading to the pan of the shower and put the shower curtain on the inside of the plexiglass 😁
